A natural born citizen of Canada, Mr. Seltzer was raised in Montreal, Quebec. He later came to the U.S. and attended Goucher College in Towson, Maryland where he received his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Arts.

As a college graduate, David took some time off before attending grad school to work as a paralegal in New York City. Here, he spent a good deal of time working on a products liability case that was in litigation trials during his time in the city. When his time in New York was through, Mr. Seltzer transported his life to Lansing, Michigan where he attended two semesters of grad school at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. As a top student of the college, David left with a bang, solidifying his status in the top ten percent of his class before transferring to the University of Miami School of Law where he ultimately completed his education. Mr. Seltzer earned his Juris Doctorate in 2004.

For many years after completing his graduate education Mr. Seltzer worked full-time at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office where he interned during his education career. It was here that David gained a great deal of the legal experience that he now uses in and out of the courtroom in his private practice. Acting as a cyber crimes prosecutor and Miami-Dade criminal defense attorney, Mr. Seltzer learned much about the prosecution process, and his responsibilities included proactive investigations into computer forensics as well as training on computer operation and data retention. At this time, David worked on a number of cases very similar to those he handles today, including cases involving insurance fraud, possession of child pornography, unauthorized access to computer networks, transmission of harmful material to minors and more.
